The iPickle Spring Classic is one of the LA area's most popular regional tournaments, and for good reason. With 34 courts at the iPickle Cerritos facility, this event handles large fields without the court-availability bottlenecks that plague smaller venues. All matches are DUPR-rated, and the standout feature is the 5.0 moneyball division -- a $90 entry that puts real prize money on the line for the area's top amateur players.
iPickle Cerritos is a modern, purpose-built pickleball facility with consistent court surfaces, good lighting, and on-site amenities including a pro shop and food options. The Cerritos location is centrally placed for LA County players, with easy freeway access from the 91, 605, and 405. Parking is ample, which is not always the case at SoCal tournament venues.
The registration deadline is March 9, five days before the event, so do not procrastinate. At $60 for amateur divisions, this is one of the more affordable tournament options in the LA metro area. The moneyball division at $90 is where things get serious -- if you have a legit 5.0 game and a reliable partner, the prize pool makes this worth your while. For players in the 2.5-4.0 range, the standard amateur brackets offer well-organized, DUPR-rated competition that will help you track your improvement over time.
